UK Rockers, You Me At Six, visit LA’s Teragram Ballroom…

Monday night the UK rock band You Me At Six brought the Back Again Tour to Los Angeles for a stop at the Teragram Ballroom. Joining You Me At Six were LA’s Dreamers and MachineHeart who were tasked with firing up the crowd for a night of music and good vibes.

Kicking off the festivities were MachineHeart, Los Angeles natives who continue to make waves in the music scene. MachineHeart captured and engaged the crowd through their Indie pop melodic vocals and music that coursed from relaxed head bobbing composition and lead into an upbeat chorus. The band captured the crowd when they played “Altar” off their debut album People Change and set the pace for what the night had in store.

Next up, was the cosmic rock band Dreamers who are also native to the Los Angeles music scene. As members of Dreamers began to take the stage, the energy in the crowd began to increase. Fans began to make their way to the front to sing along with frontman, Nick Wold. The set kicked off with “SCREWS” which delivers a kick of groovy dance vibes and brought a ton of crowd participation into the venue.

The energy that Dreamers brought to the stage could be identified as “powerful” and “fun” as each member engaged with the crowd in different ways. Whether it be singing lyrics back and forth, impressive guitar solos, or through Jacob Wicks drumming, everyone had a reason to rock out on that night. They were quickly a fan favorite as they made their way through their set with “Sweet Disaster” which is currently circulating on the radio waves.

As the crowd began to prepare for You Me At Six, the feeling of excitement was easily sensed circulating the room just as the time winded down to the final minutes prior to the main event. You Me At Six kicked off their set with “Fast Forward” from their newest album VI, which set the pace for what the rest of the night would bring.

Instantly fans began singing and throwing horns and fists into the air. The UK rock band continued playing new songs such as “3AM”, “I O U”, and “Straight to My Head”. There was no disappointment in LA this night as the band played some old favorites as well, like “Reckless” and “Loverboy”. The night took a calming turn as frontman Josh Franceschi asked for the lights to be completely turned off and asked the crowd to illuminate the stage with nothing more but their phone flashlights. Franceschi gave a brief speech on the importance of being good people and working together to spread love as an intro to “Take on the World”.

As the night began to wind down the crowd was asked if it was anyone’s first time at a show. Franceschi explained to those “first timers” that as they finished their “last song of the night” it was expected to “boost the band members back up” by chanting “YOU ME AT SIX” for a four song encore.  The evening wrapped with “Underdog” and with Franceschi getting up close and personal by jumping into the crowd for the last few riffs.

You Me At Six are wrapping up the tour with final dates hitting cities such Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta before they return back home.
