Metal fans had been on the verge of insanity awaiting official confirmation of Slipknot’s upcoming tour as well as album news. The mad circus is being billed as KNOTFEST Roadshow that will feature a Slipknot museum display at every stop of the tour. Joining the band’s massive North American Tour will be Volbeat, Behemoth and Gojira.
The band has also confirmed their new album release date. August 9th, in a tweet with the announcement of their Knotfest Roadshow Summer 2019 tour; however, in vintage Slipknot fashion the title has not yet been revealed. A digital copy of the album will come with every pair of tickets purchased for the tour, which go on sale March 8th.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10am local time. Premium members of Slipknot fan club Outside The 9 get first access to pre-sale tickets starting March 5th at 10am.
The press release indicated: “On Thursday March 7th, Los Angeles skate shop Brooklyn Projects will host an event celebrating SLIPKNOT’s Knotfest Roadshow. Members of Slipknot will be in attendance, show tickets and exclusive merchandise will be available onsite, and other surprises are expected.”
If that wasn’t enough…Slipknot has announced that they will be joining Metallica on the WorldWired Tour for six dates down under including a Halloween night show. What’s next…just sit back and enjoy the ride as its bound to be epic!
