Female rockers continue to make an impact in the rock world and the four young ladies hailing from Arizona that form the band known as Doll Skin certainly seem up for the challenge with their unique sound of rock infused with some punk and a hint of metal.
Formed in 2013 when Meghan Herring (drummer) handpicked Alex Snowden (lead guitar), Nicole Rich (bassist) and Sydney Dolezal (vocals, rhythm guitar) from the School of Rock for her high school battle of the bands. Little did the girls know that David Ellefson, MegaDeth’s bassist, would be a last minute fill-in judge and a year later he would play an instrumental part in helping the band release their debut EP, In Your Face via the EMP Label Group.
The ladies tore up the stage in Tampa and their energy, passion for music is refreshing, and they should be on everyone’s list of up and comers to check out! The girls are wrapping up their first European tour and if you are stateside be on the lookout for Doll Skin as they will be touring this summer on the final Warped Tour and releasing some new music.
