Candlebox rocks thousands at the Nevermind Awesome Bar

It was the first Bike Night of the season in Cape Coral and thousands of people took in the newly redesigned SE 47th Terrace. People came from near and far to hang out, check out some motorcycles and vendors as well as listen to some LIVE music at multiple locations.

If there is one person in Cape Coral who’s known for throwing large parties its Shamrock Shannon, owner of the Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery. In years past we’ve been rocked by Skid Row, The Apocalypse Blues Revue, and Drowning Pool, just to name a few. For this year’s Bike Night opener and in celebration of his 47th birthday Shannon teamed up with Storm Smart, Stu’s Motorcycles, 93XFM, and Rage More Events to bring in Candlebox to rock the Cape.

As Kevin Martin (Vocals), Brian Quinn (Lead Guitar), Island Styles (Guitar), Adam Kury (Bass) and former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen took to the stage as the crowd went wild! With Jet Live Events at the soundboard, the speakers and bass cabs filled the air with a clean sound that drew in people from outside the venue. Candlebox sounded absolutely amazing!

Kevin’s voice is just as rockin’ as ever, he was all over the stage connecting with the audience. Brian, Island Styles and Adam were all over the stage rockin’ out, which provided for some great shots! Dave was absolutely killin’ it on the kit. Adam and Dave pulled double duty as they also played with Pete RG earlier in the night.

If Candlebox comes into your area I highly recommend you that go and see them, you will not be disappointed! Be sure to connect with them on social media!

Formed in Seattle in 1991, Candlebox went quadruple platinum with their 1993 self-titled debut and released two more acclaimed and top-selling albums (1995’s Lucy and 1998’s Happy Pills ) before going on a hiatus in 2000. Candlebox regrouped with a 2006 tour, then put out Into the Sun in 2008, followed by 2012’s Love Stories & Other Musings. Candlebox remains one of the most highly requested and played groups on radio, including the band’s mega hits “Far Behind” and “You.”

For Disappearing in Airports , the band worked with producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Everclear, Rivers of Nihl), cutting the record at Think Loud Studios in York, Pennsylvania. With Kevin Martin , Dave Krusen on drums, Adam Kury on bass and the addition of guitarists Mike Leslie and Brian Quinn, the recommitment to creating music that is ‘pissed and urgent’ as well as bringing a new energy to the live show is at this records’ core.

Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery is a culinary forward bar offering craft cocktails, local and craft brews and everything in between. My personal favorite is the pressed Angus Cheeseburger and Truffle fries. If you’re ever in Cape Coral and looking for a great place with some awesome food look no further! Shannon is also known for throwing some great parties so keep an eye for them! Be sure to “Like” their Facebook page and let them know we sent you!
