Trivium kicked off their co-headlining North American tour with Arch Enemy at the Orlando House of Blues in front of a sold-out hometown crowd. The tour coincides with the band’s newly released album The Sin and the Sentence.
While She Sleeps set the tone for the evening with a high octane set that included lead vocalist Lawrence Taylor crowd surfing through the energized sold-out crowd. Next Canadian born metal goddess Alissa White-Gluz and Arch Enemy took to the stage for an intense 18 song set as she unleashed her growling vocals. Songs such as “Nemesis,” “The Eagle Flies Alone,” “You Will Know My Name,” and “War Eternal” with their energized guitar riffs and powerful lyrics excite the crowd.
The hometown crowd erupted as Matt Heafy and Trivium took the stage with the fiery intensity that has become their signature from the first note in “The Sin and the Sentence” to the last note 13 songs later “In Waves.” Heafy acknowledged and thanked the hometown crowd on several occasions each time the roar of the crowd intensified as he smiled in appreciation. The setlist included four tracks from the band’s newly released album ‘The Sin and the Sentence”.
