The House of Blues-Orlando welcomes the Gin Blossoms…

The Sirius XM’s Lithium presents New Miserable Experience Live with the Gin Blossoms rolled into Orlando for a stop at the epic House of Blues in Orlando. The band is currently on a 20-show stint that started February 8th and runs through March 9th. The tour follows a successful run of dates in 2018 when the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their multi-platinum album New Miserable Experience by performing it in its entirety. The New Miserable Experience hit the quarter-century mark last year and went 4x platinum as well as selling over 5 million records. The 1992 album spawned such classic hits as “Hey Jealousy,” “Found About You” and “Allison Road.”

The Gin Blossoms are an American alternative rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona and currently consist of members Robin Wilson (lead vocals/guitar) Jesse Valenzuela (guitar/vocals) Bill Leen (bass), Scott Johnson (guitar) and their newest member Scott Hessel who has been the drummer the past 6 years.

Last year the band released their first new album in eight years, the critically acclaimed Mixed Reality that was produced by Don Dixon, and highlighted by such singles as “Break,” “Face The Dark” and “Wonder.” The band’s blend of introspective lyrics, ringing guitars and finely etched melodies is as strong as ever throughout the album.

The House Of Blues-Orlando was filled with fans reminiscing about the 90s as the Gin Blossoms delivered a riveting 19-song set that included New Miserable Experience in its entirety, four songs from both the Dusted and Mixed Reality records as well as a cover of “Fake Plastic Trees” by Radiohead. One of the most popular songs of the evening was “Hey Jealousy” that had the crowd singing along. Speaking with several couples who detailed there following of the band and the concerts throughout the years. The Blossom’s certainly have a dedicated fan base that was very excited that the tour made a stop in Orlando.
