The American Christian metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada made a stop at The Orpheum in the Ybor City district of Tampa Saturday night to a packed house. Joining the band on the second leg of its very special anniversary tour is Fit For a King and ’68. The band is celebrating the tenth anniversary of their landmark third studio album With Roots Above and Branches Below by playing the album in its entirety.
TDWP wrapped up the summer as the band enjoyed a successful supporting roll on Parkway Drive’s Reverence Tour. Apparently, the band was not satisfied with a supporting role and hit the road immediately thereafter headlining their own tour that wraps up later this week. Judging by the response in Tampa Saturday night, the tour was massively successful as fans joined the band, singing chorus after chorus, moshing, crowd surfing and stage diving as they were treated to an intense light show that matched the band’s frontman Mike Hranica’s vocals.
The Ohio natives formed in 2005 and its current lineup consists of members Mike Hranica (vocals/guitar), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar/vocals), Kyle Sipress (lead guitar/backing vocals), and Andy Trick (bass).
