Grammy-winning singer Sarah McLachlan has wrapped up her 11 show tour that included five Florida shows; Jacksonville, Sarasota, Clearwater, Orlando and West Palm Beach. Joining McLachlan on the tour in support was special guest Vanessa Freebairn-Smith. McLachlan will continue supporting her latest studio album Wonderland released in October 2016 via Verve Records. The Canadian singer/songwriter is one of the most respected and influential adult contemporary artists to emerge in the 90s. McLachlan gained fans from around the world due to her contentious writing and unique vocal range.
McLachlan is a multi-platinum singer known for her 2003 album Afterglow, which was certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA and 5x Platinum in Canada. In 1997, her fourth album Surfacing won a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
McLachlan founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians and raised over $7 million for local and national charities. In 2002, she founded her non-profit organization, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides top quality music instruction at no cost, in a safe and nurturing environment, for at-risk children and youth.
