Coral Head MusicFest hit Pinellas Park hard with some old school rock n’ roll

The Coral Head MusicFest landed at England Brothers Park and absolutely rocked the visitors and residents of Pinellas Park with music supplied by JenHairdazeMitch Perry GroupSlaughterJackyl and Sebastian Bach.

Coral Head MusicFest is presented by the American Legion Riders of Post 154 out of Marathon, FL. For this event they were assisted by Post’s 104, 252, 125 and 14.

The American Legion Riders is a department of the American Legion.  They are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who are dedicated to helping American veterans, their families, and the community.

The Coral Head MusicFest was created to raise money for the benefit of  American Veterans. Their sponsored charity PROJECT: VETRELIEF is an organization run by the American Legion to assists veterans in a multitude of ways including mentoring/counseling returning service members, job placement, benefit assistance, emergency funding, and so much more. To find out  more about Project: VetRelief visit their website at www.projectvetrelief.org. Also receiving a portion of the proceeds from this event is the Tampa Bay Warriors.

As we walked into England Brothers Park we were very happy to see the many different vendors that were setup. There were so many food choices, kind of like at a state fair.

The VIP area, OMG!! We had a nice tented area with tables to sit at. The food provided by Pinellas Grille and Station House BBQ was fantastic!!!

The Coral Head MusicFest group really knows how to put a show together yet keeping the fans in mind that all their needs and wants are taken care of.

Our Emcee’s for the show were Bill Hoebee and Todd “Ham Salad” Sitler  of WAIL 99.5 and Jeff Zito, Sean Roberts and Ted Kamikaze of 98.7 The Shark. What a great group of guys and so much fun to hang out with!!

Kickin’ off the music on stage was none other than the Coral Head MusicFest Event Coordinator Jen. If you’ve spent time down in Marathon or Key West chances are you may have seen and heard Jen before. She played a great selection of covers that entertained people as they came in.

Hairdaze – the Amazing 80’s Rock Show hit the stage and proceeded to pummel our ears with some great cover songs by groups like Guns and Rose’s, Poison, Motley Crue and Def Leppard to name just a few.

Jackyl, what can we say about this band that we haven’t said before. Time after time they bring a great show and each member just seems to get better as time goes on.

As the band fired up the music powered engine the fans moved closer and closer to the stage. There was hardly anyone still sitting in a chair in the VIP section.

Jackyl gave us one hard rockin’ set and Jesse James seemed to be having fun as well with the smile on his face.

The final act of the night was Sebastian Bach as he wraps up his 30th anniversary  tour of the album Skid Row from the band he fronted from 1987 to 1997.

Sebastian truly is a great entertainer. He rocked the fans hard with his singing and then popped them upside the head with his jokes.

With Brent shredding on the guitar, Rob and Bobby handling the low end this was just so much fun.

Todd La Torre, singer for Queensryche, joined Sebastian on the stage for “Youth Gone Wild“. That was freakin’ good!!

It was very cool of Sebastian to do this 30th anniversary tour!! We had so much fun going back in time and rocking out just like we did back then!!
