Vans Warped Tour has been one of the most well-known touring music festivals in the world. Last year it was announced that the tour was coming to an end causing great dismay amongst its loyal followers. Well, the festival organizers couldn’t end the run after 24 years so they are bringing forth this iconic festival back for a 25th year albeit in a limited run in comparison to years past.
The festival has visited Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada and Europe. It has played host to the “Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands”, music lessons, and it has been a venue for various social activism groups to get their message to young people. The tour has also donated portions of their proceeds to various charities over the years which added to their vibe of bringing the world together through music.
The 2019 edition of the Vans Warped Tour will be visiting only 3 locations this year.
June 8th – Cleveland Ohio @ The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
June 29 & 30 – Atlantic City New Jersey @ The Beach
July 20 & 21 – Mountain View, CA @ Shoreline Amphitheater
There will be a museum of sorts with memorabilia from Warped Tours from 2005 through last year’s final national tour. There will be instruments as well as clothing from various acts who performed at Warped Tours in the past. Atlantic City and Mountain View will host more than 50 acts performing over multiple stages. Tour creator Kevin Lyman stated, “The bands, the special attractions, everything – we want to bring back elements that have made the Warped Tour, Warped Tour, over the past 25 years.” No doubt, the 25th addition will be a very special event!
