The Bouncing Souls celebrate 30 years in Atlanta

There are few bands that have been active as long as the Bouncing Souls have. This tour, they celebrate thirty years of being a band. The band has had minimal line up changes with Greg Attonito (vocals), Pete Steinkopf (guitar), and Bryan Kienlen (bass) all being original members of the band with George Rebelo (drums) as their most recent member.

Bouncing Souls have always put on tight yet still upbeat, positive shows and this one was no exception. Attonito lead the vocals perfectly with catchy melodies as sharp riffs reeled in and kept the energy up from song to song. Fans from all walks of life came together to celebrate the band’s three decades together at Atlanta’s Masquerade.

The band’s setlist included a mix of old and new songs, spanning their discography but one thing remains true: the Bouncing Souls are about celebrating getting through the tough times and the lessons we learn along the way. “My love for the Souls is pure and wholesome,” says long time fan Kara Harvey, who joined the band on stage to sing “Late Bloomer.”

The crowd was enthusiastic, bringing a sense of home. As the song goes, “I’ve never been the same since that first show, I close my eyes and let myself go to a special place, I’m never alone or scared, somehow I had a reason, a reason to care.”  Attonito stated on stage that Atlanta was a place where so much has happened, and that night was a night to remember for all in attendance.
