Opeth makes a stop in Nashville

A Swedish invasion by the name of Opeth took over Nashville for a reminiscent blast from the past. Opeth sounds like the Grateful Dead mixed with a Led Zeppelin heavy rock feel. The night started with Graveyard and their unique sounds of all rock styles exhilarated the crowd. Their newest album Peace is out now.

The starry lights on stage only made the anticipation grow as the lights became brighter and the members of Opeth slowly walked onto the stage as the crowd rushed to their feet. The opening song “Livets Trädgård” was mostly musical with not a lot of vocals but each note drew you into the performance wanting more.

By the third song, “Mikael_Åkerfeldt” had the crowd at their fingertips with the deep growls and rocking riffs from every area of the stage. Through out the performance, the theatrical special effects and sense of humor showed what truly makes an Opeth show truly memorable. Opeth’s latest album In Cauda Venenum is out now and available in both Swedish and English.
