Lita Ford unleashes on The Ranch…

We went to a bar last Friday night
We didn’t get laid, didn’t get into a fight uh-huh
It ain’t no big thing
Left straight from work and traffic wasn’t bad
Went up to the bar with 10 bucks in my hand and got a shot of Jack uh-huh
It ain’t no big thing…..  IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING!!!

Lita Ford along with guitarist Patrick Kennison, bassist Marty O’Brien and drummer extraordinaire Bobby Rock  landed at The Ranch Concert Hall in Fort Myers, FL.

We knew from the very first note that this was going to be one of those epic nights! First off you have Lita Ford, ooohhhhh….. Where was I… Oh, yeah.. Lita… If you know anything about the history of hard rock and metal and you have a thing for a gorgeous woman with a great voice and looks so wicked with those sweet B.C. Rich guitars then surely you’ve heard or seen her. If you haven’t, I’m so sorry for you.

If you need to know or need a refresher…Google or hit YouTube for The Runaways. Lita joined the group at just 16 years old and was with them from 1975 to 1979. The band wanted to change directions; however, Lita wanted to stay true to her hard rock roots. For that I am very thankful!

The longest standing member in the band other than Lita is a man who is more than capable of handling the low end. Marty O’Brien is not only a great musician but his stage presence is freakin’ awesome. He is so much fun to take pictures of!

Marty has built one incredible resume through the years. He’s worked with Kilgore, Methods of Mayhem, Disturbed, Static X, Tommy Lee, We Are The Fallen, Celine Dion, Chris Cornell, Brian McKnight, Mýa, Lindsay Lohan, and Kelly Clarkson just to name a few…… Phew… That’s alot!

Marty has been touring with Lita since 2012 and judging by the smile on his face and the fun he has on stage, I don’t believe that will end anytime soon!

On lead guitar we have the awesome Patrick Kennison. Patrick joined up with Lita in 2014 and has been melting faces with his great playing and breaking the hearts of many women with his great vocals.

He started his career with the nu metal band The Union Underground back in 1996 and rocked with them until 2002. They had some pretty good success with the album ‘An Education in Rebellion’. In 2007, he found himself as the lead singer and guitarist of the band Heaven Below which was also co-founded by Marty O’Brien. Be sure to check this band out, they sound really good.

Rounding out the band is an internationally-renowned performer and music educator, an author with several books to his credit, a producer, a health and fitness specialist/consultant, and the CEO/Founder of Paranormal Records, Zen Man Publishing and Rock-Solid Fitness. Phew… Bobby Rock is one busy man! He’s also one hell of a drummer!

In his early days, Bobby attended the Berklee College of Music and recorded as well as toured with several funk, fusion and rock bands. He also performed on a variety of movie soundtracks, jingles and records.

He was with the band Rare Earth for a short time before he joined up with the Vinnie Vincent Invasion of which he played on two albums and toured with Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper.

Now that you’re familiar with all those involved, let me tell you about this show. The Ranch Concert Hall is not a small venue, I believe the capacity is around 1,800. It wasn’t maxed out but there were several hundred people excited to see the show.

When Lita and the guys hit the stage, the horns went up and the people rocked out during the entire set. The band sounded fantastic and you could just feel that old school rock and roll vibe throughout the building. Lita looked absolutely amazing and sounded so good, she didn’t miss a thing!

If Lita Ford comes any where near you I highly suggest you get those tickets and go see one hell of a show!!!
