Dokken arrived at The Ranch Concert Hall and Saloon and took us on a ride through time as they played some of their greatest hits.
After being in the industry for more than 40 years, Don Dokken doesn’t appear to have any intentions of slowing down. On June 26th he will be turning 66. From what I’ve read and heard from others, he realizes he’s not young anymore but he keeps going because he loves what he does.
Dokken formed in 1979 only to split up in 1989 and then came back together four years later. They had many singles that hit high on the charts like (“Alone Again“, “In My Dreams” and “Burning Like a Flame“) and they have sold over 10 million albums worldwide.
The “classic” Dokken consisted of Don Dokken on vocals, George Lynch on lead guitar, Mick Brown on drums and Jeff Pilson on bass. This was the line-up from 1983 to 1989, and again from 1993 to 1998. They had a brief reunion in 2016.
Dokken’s current lineup includes singer Don Dokken, guitarist Jon Levin, bassist Chris McCarvill and BJ Zampa (HOUSE OF LORDS) filling in for drummer “Wild” Mick Brown.
Currently, they are working on recording a new studio album, which should be out in 2020 through Silver Lining Music. It will be the group’s first album since the release of “Broken Bones“.
