Dirty Heads & 311 take over Tampa

The SoCal based bands, Dirty Heads and 311 embarked on a 29 date summer tour through the states this summer. Halfway through the run, they hit the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater for an exciting night of feel-good tunes. The evening of music started with opening band Bikini Trill, a female-fronted pop act based out of California, took the stage with a funky twist on some hopping reggae/punk infused music. LJ (Jeezy) and her colorful style and powerful vocals, kept fans grooving to set the mood for what was to come throughout the evening on a typical hot Florida night.

Upon exiting the stage, the all-male trio the Dreamers took over to keep the mood flowing. Gracing us all the way from New York City, this band had sharpness about them, lots of energy, and the crowd went absolutely wild.  This band is no stranger to touring with headlining bands of this caliber, as they have shared the big stage with acts like Stone Temple Pilots, Weezer, as well as appearances at Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Firefly. The Dreamers primed the crowd with their top hits before co-headliners Dirty Heads joined the party.

The Dirty Heads took the stage with a bang…and “Burn Slow” was the song that started it all. Adults and children of all ages shuffled around each other, dancing together and enjoying the music. An unforgettable and heartwarming sight to see when fans come together to enjoy the truly natural interaction that a band shares with their fans, and with each other. The unique rock and reggae style sound the Dirty Heads bring to the stage is bound to put a little boogie in your step. The band serenaded the crowd during an impressive 18-song set that included top hits before conceding the stage to the evening’s headliner 311.

A futuristic countdown on the big screen let fans know when to expect 311 to the stage. 311 packed a punch of spunky rhythms that mesmerized fans that included some of the band’s greatest all-time hits including “Beautiful Disaster” and “Amber”.  In support of their newly released album “Voyager”, the band included some of their new tracks during their set and the fans loved them! High energy filled with a mixture of keyboards, tambourines, and funkadelic performers made for a memorable night for concert-goers. Be sure to catch this tour when it hits your town. It’s one you don’t want to miss.
