National recording artist Cinder made their CD debut at The Buddha Rock Club in Fort Myers, Florida this past weekend, and wow did they put on one hell of a show! The members of Cinder are native to the area and they treated the locals to some new raw, hard and heavy tunes off their latest album The Machine.
This event was a big deal not only to the band but to the fans that have been following them since their start in the Southwest Florida music scene. And it is official…Cinder filled the Buddha Rock Club to capacity with a sold-out crowd.
Sharing the stage before Cinder was a local act, The Electric Mud. The music was electrifying, with a stunning harmony of hard rock and old southern style tunes all-in-one. They also put a twist on the few covers they cranked out during the evening. Fans from all over have raved about this band and as it was my first time witnessing this old school style performance, it definitely was beyond impressive and a great start to the evening.
As a long-time supporter of the local music in Southwest Florida, I was just as excited as the next person to see what Cinder had in store for us with their first performance in years. 96K-Rocks radio personality Matt Mangas did the honors of announcing the band to the stage for a full house.
As the lights went out and the drum set lit up, Roger, Steve, Scooby, James, and Brian took the stage and ripped the roof off The Buddha Rock Club. Lead singer, Roger praised the crowd repeatedly throughout the evening with love and appreciation for the killer turn out for the release of their new album. One could feel the sense of gratitude permeating from each member of the band knowing their Southwest Florida music family was in full support.
The band played the title track “The Machine” for fans and received an astonishing response. Cinder released a new music video for their first single “Human After All” just the day before the release party. Other tracks played off the album included “Sounded Like Goodbye” and “Suicide Girl”.
From the crowd’s reaction, the new music was an instant success. And of course, they didn’t forget to include their first hit to reach the Billboard Charts back in 2002 “Soul Creation”. Cinder has a few pretty amazing shows coming up in the near future, including the Blue Ridge Rock Festival early next month in Virginia.
If you get a chance to check out these guys, don’t waste anytime. They are hot and ready to rock the house. Stay in touch with them on social media by visiting their Facebook Page @officialcinderband
