Orange County mainstays Atreyu will release their new album Baptize, out June 4th via Spinefarm Records. Along with the announcement the band shared the video for the anthemic first single “Warrior,” featuring Travis Barker.
“‘Warrior’ is a song about persistence and never giving up,” the band shares. “We hope this song can be the puzzle piece that helps people realize that we ALL have the capacity for greatness. Sometimes, greatness can exist in the shadows and lives buried under negativity, trauma, or anxiety. ‘Warrior’ is about searching through all of that endless darkness to finally find the sunrise.”
The band previously released the tracks “Underrated” and “Save Us.”
Baptize was recorded with famed producer John Feldmann with guest appearances from Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach), Travis Barker (blink-182), and Matt Heafy (Trivium).
Baptize marks the band’s eighth studio album and first with Brandon Saller taking over the role as the band’s frontman. Guitarist Porter McKnight is now handling the dirty vocals, while Kyle Rosa joins the ranks as the drummer.
Atreyu has two certified gold albums, played massive festival stages (including two runs on Ozzfest), sold-out headlining tours, featured on movie and game soundtracks, and played alongside fellow genre standard-bearers including Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Slipknot, and Bring Me The Horizon.
