An Evening with Shinedown, offered fans an “exclusive, up-close-and-personal experience” at The Ryman in Nashville, TN on May 14th, 2019. Shinedown announced the 9 show/5 City run that started in New Orleans, LA on May 6th and will end on May 22nd in Kansas City, MO.
Shinedown’s performance at The Ryman was nothing typical of their usual show. This event was more on a personal level with the fans. There was no fireworks shooting from the stadium, no pyrotechnics on the stage, and no crowd surfing like at a typical Shinedown show. These series of shows are stripped down to a very personal experience for the fans.
With unplugged songs such as “Shed Some Light” and “Misfits”, Shinedown had everyone in their seats blown away with the sound that came from the stage. As the last note was sung, the crowd erupted into a standing ovation and cheers. For the rest of the songs that were played, the crowds’ excitement and energy could bring down the house.
While preforming, Bret Smith always communicates with his audience no matter the size of the crowd. With a capacity of only 2,300 people at the Ryman, it was truly an intimate experience. From the handshakes and hugs to his powerful messages that brought the venue together for the night, Shinedown showed what it truly meant to be a Rock & Roll Star.
One of the more emotional moments of the night was with Zach Myers when his heartfelt rendition of the Randy Travis song “Forever and Ever, Amen” was played. The song was very emotional and heartfelt that brought many individuals to tears throughout the venue.
One of my favorite quotes from Smith of the night was “It doesn’t matter what color of skin you have. Doesn’t matter your religion; Doesn’t matter how young and old you are; Doesn’t matter if you are a man or woman. Everyone is welcome.” When he has the “Stars Shining” in the venue for the song “Get Up”, you could see how truly everyone was brought together.
Shinedown is…
