The Dose is an LA-based Indie band is comprised of Indio Downey (vocals, guitar) and Ralph Alexander (drums). Over the past few months, The Dose has released three tracks/videos produced by Keith Nelson (Buckcherry) and mixed by Joe Barresi (Avenged Sevenfold, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age). The new releases of “Saline”, “Thrill Of It” and “Vervain” all fit together as a short film. The three tracks are off their full-length debut album, which is set for release later this year.

Downey and Alexander have spent the past couple of years gigging up and down the west coast, sharpening a monolithic sound inspired by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and The Sword. The latter is no easy feat for a two-man band. They began as a trio, but after their bass player was a no-show for an early gig, Downey and Alexander took the stage alone. They emerged surprised and newly inspired by their chemistry and never looked back, splitting for the South, where they toiled for a month to harness what they’d discovered in that first performance as a duo.
