The Apocalypse Blues Revue is a blues band that formed in 2016 by Godsmack bandmates Shannon Larkin and Tony Rombola. As fate would have it, Larkin had met Ray Cerbone and Brian Carpenter in his travels and the band had come together to bring the blues to the masses that follow them.
On September 9th, the South Street City Oven and Grill in Naples, FL had brought in The Apocalypse Revue for two nights. The place was completely packed with eager fans to see what this group was all about. Before the show began we feasted on some delicious blackened chicken tacos…OMG… So good!
In support of their latest release, The Shape of Blues to Come they played the entire album in the first set much to to joy of all those in attendance. With songs like “Open Spaces” and “Hell to Pay“, how can you not like it?!! With Shannon rockin’ the kit like only he can, Brian bringing in the low end, Tony making his guitar sing and that voice of Ray. It really is quite a great sound.
After a short break, the guys came back out and performed their self titled debut, The Apocalypse Blues Revue. This album debuted at number 6 on the Billboard’s Top Blues Album
Charts. It brought back good memories of the last time the guys were here and it was another packed house.
As Ray will tell you, “This ain’t your daddy’s blues!”. He is right, this is a darker, heavier version that you will love!! So do yourself a favor and go check them out!!

South Street City Oven and Grill is not your typical rock bar nor is it a large venue. What they are is a great place with some of the best food that allows you the opportunity to get up close and personal with your favorites. We love this place and plan to support them by keeping the coverage going because we love what they do!! You can check out South Street on Facebook or visit them at www.southstreetnaples.com.
